LEADING THE BRANDING CHANGES; Management showcases new modernised logo and unified approach for club

Over the school summer holidays the DDFC management team has been working towards the completion of several new and exciting acivities to address some ideas discussed with the club's parent members. Specifically, there have been calls for following:

Improving the club's communications, with a lot of calls for a social media presence of some kind (which we will be announcing soon) and to provide improved information for events including calls for photographs and videos if possible (both are being considered).

Access to clothing that can be worn to show support for DDFC teams with complimentary styling to the kits being worn by players and coaches. At one time the club did have hats and scarves, so we will be addressing this again with more options this time around.

Finally, the management team wanted to update a number of the existing documentation and communication channels such as the website, we well as investigate new ways to interact and engage with the players, parents and supporters - like newsfeeds, and apps.

All of these proposed ideas caused a review of the existing branding and after an internal discussion, the club decided that a new logo was needed to reflect a more modern outlook for the club. The original logo dates back to the evr early days when the club was first started in the 1980's and as such it was not designed to be applied to multiple uses ranging from websites, to kit, to media, merchandising and documents using graphics, printing and embroidery techniques some of which were not available when the original logo was created.

Today, the club officially launches the new logo for public viewing. We will be applying this new design to all of our branded channels, materials and clothing. Combining this with the new player / coach kit design and new club sponsor will provide DDFC with a unified look which everyone can rally around. More details of the new kit and new sponsor will be announce soon.
